Lets just say that "in theory", I had removed my emmisions system on my 1980- 302 to include the charcoal canister that the fuel tank return line vents into. Without having the charcoal box for the vent line to run into, the line just hangs there...or at least it would. What can I do with the vent line leading back to the tank. I believe that the gas cap already provides a vent for tank pressure, so would I need to keep this line un-plugged? Does anyone have any recommendations as to how I would go about venting the line, so that the vent functions properly.

Have to make sure you have a vented cap before pluggin that. I'd leave the line in place, just in case it ever had to be put back together.
