tony they look like the best in flow# across the board from .300 to 600 lift but only come in 58cc chambers not sure where my comp will be with these heads, think ill have to take my motor to my engine builder and see what he can come up with as i dont want to quess on that, mainly i just want a 500 plus hp motor for once in my life seems like i never get my combo right with the last 2 people i used, when this motor was done last yr i took all these parts and motor to my engine guy and he said i should have went with alum heads along with a bigger cam but said this will be ok for 465 475 hp not bad but we all want more power down the road as long as its streetable thats where it gets crazy, i dont want a motor that sucks in traffic and starts to over heat it gets real hot here in nj in the summer, either i buy new heads along with cam or port my roush heads and maybe custom cam and port match the vic jr manifold??.

Sometimes it's good to buy heads with a smaller chamber than you need. Then, you're free to adjust things to your liking, and have a compression ratio you want, i.e. unshroud the valves a bit, customize quench, etc.

vic jr heads will get the job done. Just remember if you go with AFR heads you might need different headers since their ex. ports are relocated higher than on stk. type heads.

Vic Jr are raised slightly on the ex. side but will still be ok with regular headers designed for the vehicle. When I had my 408W in my granada I went with vic jrs only because nobody made headers for a granada with a 351W in them. I used hooker 6208 they fit and bolted to the edelbrocks no problem. I would have had a major headache getting headers to fit AFR heads in this car and would have to shell out a crapload of money for a set of custom headers, no thanks.

headers will have to work thats why i have problems with differant heads, i need to use my supercomps 1\3\4 headers, i might just open up the roush heads and be safe i dont want headaches just simple stuff bolt it back on, couple guys on this forum say these heads will make good power when ported right, i think they already do but would like just a bit more flow down low between .300 and .600 lift, as of now my heads from the flow sheet if they are correct flow [email protected], [email protected] and [email protected] not bad but not good either, im thinking that flow#s are not really inportant because i have good velocity with those small ports along with the vic jr manifold and HR cam its not bad in the power department.
