I am looking for a set of factory Edsel, Lincoln or Mercury valve covers from the late 50's or early 60's. I am looking for the older rounded covers with the script, but some pentroofs would do. They do not have to be chrome, and a pair with a few dings would do. Let me know what you all have.

"Pentroofs" are the valve covers that came on 406's and 427's in the early 60's. They have a different shape from the regular valve covers. I realized they were called "Pentroofs" by looking at valve covers on Ebay. Maybe some of our FE gurus can shed some light on the origin of the name.

I have no knowledge on why they are called "pentroofs" but I do have a set of cast aluminum "Cobra" finned pent roof covers on my 431.

Hey Marauder,
Do you maybe have a comparison picture you could post for us in the dark?
