What are the pros and cons of welding up a rear end instade of get a locking mech.

Why weld it when you can do the same thing with a mini spool?

but you aren't going to like it when you go to turn corners and have to replace the tires every 6 months or so.

or replace axles.....


Dont do it. Go with some sort of limited slip or locker.


When you go around a corner, the outside wheel has a longer path to follow. With both of them turning at the same speed, something has to give.

Now the advantages- Great traction.

Disadvantage- You cant turn without chirping a tire, or something worse... Get a locker instead, they only chirp the tires on really hard turns.
