ford part # m-6316-c351. for a 351w, so i was told.need to know if this thing can be run on the street. HELP

I looked in the '01 FRPP catalogue and that number comes up as a damper , 28oz imbalance-
SFI approved. Where did you get that number?

Here is some info that I found:

Engine - 351W (Designed for engine firing order 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8 Description - Hydraulic Flat Tappet Usage Recommendations & Performance Characteristics (Compared to standard production camshaft with production cylinder heads and intake manifold, except as noted.) - Ford Motorsport 351 HO SVO engine. (May require piston modification for piston-to-valve clearance.) Peak RPM (With production cylinder heds and intake manifold in most cases) Torque - 4500 Peak RPM (With production cylinder heds and intake manifold in most cases) BHP. - 5750 Duration Int. - 296 degrees Duration Exh. - 306 degrees Duration (at 0.050" lobe lift) Int. - 236 degrees Duration (at 0.050" lobe lift) Exh. - 246 degrees Valve Lift Int. - 0.520" Valve Lift Exh. - 0.538" Not legal for sale or use on pollution-controlled motor vehicles.

Hope this helps it right from the FRPP book.

this cam is only good to 4500 rpm ?????? how is the idle ??

Peak torque is a 4500RPM and peak HP is at 5750RPM. Should have a decent thumpy idle.
