the one in my 351 looks worse, never seen one that did not have a strange hole there.

That's an oil drain hole which was originally a Casting fill point that helps keep the timing chain lubricated.

I would multi quote but I dont have an option... weird anyways you guys are awesome! it looked like bad news to me I guess just a rough cast hole. I guess I'll have it back together after work and I will make the UNIQUE TIN Car cruise after all! thanx alot for the quick response!
