Both are dual plane intakes, that makes them fairly similar, one is just more geared towareds torque and hood clearance, the other towards horsepower.
The difference ins spacers is with the open spacer, you lose some of the pulsing effect that you get from having a dual plane vs. single plane, and thus will loose some torque below 3000ish rpm, but you will gain airflow since each cylinder will be able to pull from all four barrels of the carb instead of just the two, so you will gain top-end power. The four-hole spacer keeps the plenum divided and also straightens airflow out from the carb before it enters the intake, so you gain both some low-end torque and high-rpm horsepower, though not as much high-rpm gain as the open spacer.
