you don't already get 330 RWHP (350 crank)?

Sheesh, I'd like ta know too. Maybe your cam is too big for your CID. That's a monster.

Just for "fun", why don't you take off the Weber's and install a good single plane intake and a 750 DP. Don't get me wrong, I love the look of Weber carbs, but with the current technology in intakes and carbs I'm willing to bet you'll see an improvment. I'm not saying dump the webers altogether. Perhaps you could borrow an intake/carb from someone to get a comparison. I've heard of plenty of 347's with a similar combo to yours making well over 350 rwp with a single plane and double pumper.

Did you run it on a dyno? Where is the peak power? Does it seem to drop off at high RPM's?

I'd agree with the suggestion to temporarily swap carbs if only to confirm that your Webers are tuned properly.

Also, how do you like that cam? I'm trying to decide between the 282S and the 294S for my 302.

yes it was on a chassis dyno, power started at 3500rpm give or take ,it leaned out at about 5600/5700rpm with 220kw(295hp)(rear wheel),a week later it went to get the carbs tuned at a different dyno and it leaned out again and detonated a piston. with peak power of 198kw rear wheel at about 5800rpm,so do i like the cam?well thats a hard question,it comes on extremely hard at 3500rpm in my 347 but in your 302 it will come on later probably 4000 or a bit higher if 4000rpm is ok for you i say go for it!

Hmmmm...

I would think that cam should keep pulling to about 6500 RPM.

I'll bet when you figure out what's causing it to go lean at high RPM's you will find the power you're missing.

BTW - I just ordered a custom grind from CompCams yesterday (235*/242*, .528/.541, 110* LS).
