I have a msd-8352 ready to run dist. My block is a dss level 20 FMS shows two shafts a 6605-A302 for 1968 - 1986 also a 6605-B302 for 1987 - 1995 The msd-8352 is for 1968 - 2001 what shaft should i use & what is the difference between the two shafts. The M-6605-A302 in the FMS catolog it says it will not fit EEC-IV equipped engine. Which one do i use without problems. Thanks! Fran

I think the only thing you need to be concerned about is not bottoming out the distributor on the portion of the pump shaft that is not splined. The stock pump shafts are the same throughout the length of the shaft, the aftermarket ones that I have seen are only hex cut for a portion of the shaft. Certain distributors have different lengths of tube below the dizzy gear and sometimes you will need to cut a small portion of the distributor to gain clearance
