I will have 10.5 or 11.0 compression and MSD everything. I usually buy the Bosch wires at da zone but there 7mm I think.

I have 4mm Originally on a '55 Packard Clipper Deluxe 4-dr. 360ci., on my 690 HP. 427, and never had a problem...

Oh wait... I don't have a 427... In face, the plug wires I stold off the '55 Packard along with the holley 4V carb went on my '64 T-bird 390.... sorry I guess I'm hopeless...

So what kind of problems would I have from running a "wrong" plug wire size ? i know resistance is the issue but someone posted something like " plug wire cant come up with the resistance that jumping the gap that a sparkplug has ? what do you all think ?

My plug wires cause noise in the radio, even though they are supposed to shield against EMI. I think the worst thing would be if you get plug wires that are too small/too high resistance, it could damage the plug wires but you would have to have a pretty strong spark to do even that. I ran a MSD 6A with a MSD coil and stock wires for a long time with no issues.

I ran the MSD Super Conductor wires for years and had great luck with them. I changed distributors so I had to change wires. I then went to the Moroso Ultra-40's and they have worked great so far. I think any name brand performance wire would do the job.

If you have a LOT of cylinder pressure, big plugs gaps and a high power ignition, it's possible for the spark to find another path out of the wires. 8mm or up should be sufficient for 98% of applications.

You will be fine with any good aftermarket wire. I have 2 sets of MSD's and a set of accels. I have also used the FMS and Jacobs. Just go down to da zone and get a set uf universal accels for around 40 bucks and you'll be fine.
