Ok, I know what an open differential is, and I know a locker is both wheels, same speed, all the time. But what's the difference between limited slip and posi? Do both wheels spin with either one? If they are different, what are the pros/cons to each? This is just a curiosity question.

They are the same thing from a mechanical standpoint it's just a different name for the same thing.

GM (BOP) used "posi-traction"
Mopar used "sure grip"
Ford used "traction loc"

It's all in the marketing they had back in the day.

Ford and Chevy used "tri-power" for the 3x2 carb set ups and Mopar used "six-pack" it's the same idea as the posi and trac lock deal.
