Hey guys maybe you can help me out im looking to put aftermarket rims on the 68 Stang I thinking about going with 16x8 but what size back spacing do i need and tire size.

i have one more thing to ask now should i go with a 16x7 in front and a 16x8 in the rear.I dont want the tire sticking out past the finders because im trying to make this car look like its all rim not tire.

I don't think you would have any issues w/ a 16x8 wheel on the front , I run a 17x8 w/ a 225/45 front tire. The 16x8 should give you a little more contact patch, I personally think it would look great. I'm sure there is some 67/68 owners here w/ those size on theirs.

ok well i dont mean to be a pain but now that im going with the 16x8 wheels now on to tires .Now like i was saying i want that low look i want the tire up in the wheel wells should i go with a low profile tire to get that look or does someone know the size of hand

also what back spacing is everyone with 16 going with

That size in the back of a 68 stang is WAY to small. That tire would look lost back there. You can put up to a 10 inch wide wheel back there in the 67/68 cars. I run a 17X9.5 on mine with a 275/40 never rubs and still have room for a bigger tire.
