I built a 393 stroker and loved it. Was my first motor build from scratch. Had a cast crank stock 5.0 pistons and stock 351w rods. I still have it and intend on swapping it in my 66 later this summer.
I have a stock C9 block that is already .030 over. I am thinking about taking it out .040 and stroking it.
This motor is for playing at the strip. Will see very little time on the street.
What displacement would you'all recomend?
Want it all motor no NOS or forced induction.

wow...nice

There you go

Seriously that would be what I would do(not that what I do matters
). There is a guy over on another forum that has been playing with the 4.25 stroke setup in stock blocks. Takes a little more attention to detail and some special parts considerations but he is coming out with the rod/piston combo for it. He has done some 600 hp stock block 434W's that run on pump gas. Cool stuff.
