how do i determine what flywheel i need when converting a 5.0 from an automatic to a manual flywheel? thanks

it depends on what year motor you have....if the motor is newer than 80(i believe, though it could be 82) then any flywheel from that point on will work, but..... it depends on what bellhousing you have.....please describe the bell so it can be determined, as there are different flywheels for different bells, due to overall size......

I believe all 5.0L uses 50 oz imbalance flywheels/flexplates. Either 157 or 164 teeth. Count your flexplate teeth and match it to the flywheel. See address attached.

It is not the matter of believing. They don´t. There is a year which on they are 50oz, don+t remember which was it...

In 81 ford went from the 28 oz. balance to the 50 oz balance, anything 81 and up is 50 oz hope this helps
