Okay guys, here goes. I have assembled my shortblock as follows:
.040 302 w/ TRW forged slugs
ARP wavelock rod bolts on stock rods
balanced rotating assembly
Comp Cams 222/226 @ .050, approx .500 lift, 114 LSA
Heads will be ported early 351W heads with 1.84", 1.54" valves, hardened seats, and screw in studs. I have yet to port. I am trying to decide whether to use the Performer RPM or Vic Jr. I would like the hood to close (93 mustang), and this is just a toy for driving around. PRob. will run a 650 dbl pumper. Will either have 3.73 or 4.10's and a t-5. Would like to be able to cruise around, and have it not lose too much bottom end, and still cruise some on the highway. I also am wondering if i can use a rebuilt ford distributor and expect any kind of performance, or just bag it and go for the MSD. Am on a budget. Thanks. Oh, i hope for 325 ponies, reasonable? 1/4 mile?
