Dropping the upper control arm one inch allows the front wheels to maintain more negative camber while cornering, thus providing for more tread patch contact through the turn. It will also lower the ride height between 1/4 ans 1/2 inch. That is the down and dirty explanation. For a detailed explanation with diagrams, go to Dazecars web site.
