I have a 66 mustang 289, going to put a .488 lift cam in, with Windsor Jr. heads, and probably Crane Roller Rockers 1.6... will any of this change my pushrod length? I am using guide plates for the pushrods, so i need to buy new ones ahead of time, but dont know if stock 289 ones will be cool. Thanks

Stock length is probably not going to work. I don't know what size will work, that is something you have to check on your own with a checker.

I don't think the stock ones are hardened for guideplates anyway but I may be wrong.

stock one were never intended for guide plate useso you will need to get a new set anyways so just check the length before you get them

get a good set of "hardened" rods some lower priced one aren't as hard as they may seem

With roller rockers you should always check the length before ordering your pushrods, otherwise you might get some really nasty valve guide wear.
