I have a guy telling me that he is building a 347, 10.5 comp, trickflow twisted wedge heads,

TFS-51402002
Rough idle, strong top-end power. 3,000-3,500 rpm stall converter, 3.90 to 4.11 gears recommended.
Compression: 10:1 minimum

236°/248°
.359/.372
.574/.595
110°
Vic jnr manifold, 750/850dp holley and it going to make 520hp.

Is he dreaming or am I underestimating his combination?

500hp is possible but not with those heads(unless they are ported to an inch of their life) and CR. 11-11.5:1 and some 205's, worked Canfields or Vic jr's and 500 is easily reached.

Sure! With a little nitrous. A fifty shot should do.

It might if those heads have some real good port work. These aren't a set of the new cnc tw's are they? If they are then it's quite possible.

Heads may be a little on the small side (Stock), but 500 is not unrealistic but will probably take some work on the heads / intake and some more compression. What are you running for exhaust?
