I have what i am told is a block from a 95 mustang gt. The block has 3X's stamped on the top below the lower intake manifold in the oil vally section. Does anyone know what this stands for?? Thanks,Mike

The XXX is probably there to strengthen the block in that area. Remember these are thin walled blocks. As the mold boxes get old they tend to allow shift when they pour the sand into it and then a weakness develops in the final casting. Some Clevelands had xxxx's in the lifter valley on each side and some didn't Possibly the same reason.
