Need some T5 help!

Firstly, which way does the clip that holds the speedo drive gear go on the output shaft? Mine was broken and lying in the case. Seems it could go from back or front and this would move the gear position.

Second question is allowable clearance between output shaft and yoke OD. Mine has movement but I cannot find a spec for this. Seems to be about .010".

I am into this because the tranny ate a new speedo gear on the cable and I have a vibration at 50. Was looking for a bent shaft but it seems within specs.

Thanks,

Gordo

Re: Need some T5 help!

Ensure you are using a T5 manual transmission gear. The auto trans gear is different. The clip fits only one way. Take a look at the pic I have uploaded.
