FE in 3GEN Econoline

Looking at a real nice 82 ClassC Motorome. Has a seized 351W/C6 in it. Can I install a 390/C6 combo without too much bother? I think if a LIMA motor will fit under the doghouseof a van an FE should. But if I have to start fabbing mounts and stuff I'll just get another 351.

Re: FE in 3GEN Econoline

You'll need a different motor mounts and a FE specific C6. IMHO I would go 351/AOD or E4OD (I think that is what it is called). If your 351 doesn't give enough oomph, I'd go 460, just because you can get an overdrive automatic.
