2 valve V-10

A friend of my sons has a 2002 250 Crew Cab with a 2 valve V-10 and ask me if I could find out what he can do to it to make it run better. He had to replace a couple of broken plugs about 6 months after he got it and they charged him $600 to fix it. He is a mechanic but decided to have a Ford dealer do the work but it sounds like they did a number on him. He is still raggin' me about that. He also has had a couple other things go wrong. He is a diehard cheby man but really liked this truck so he 'crossed over' . I would really like to help him out to get him off my a$$. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

What is exactly what he is wanting? More power? More response? Nothing direct will really bolt up to a V10, but there are headers and superchargers etc.

Re: 2 valve V-10

He just ask me to check my forums to see if there is anything he can do to make it run better. Like I said he is a cheby man and doesn't know too much about what he has. He has worked on some 460's before, but this is an entirely different animal. Thanks for the response.

Re: 2 valve V-10

I think your best bet is to throw on a good set of headers, a tuner, and some sort of CAI. There is not many aftermarket parts for the V10, but man is it a good truck engine.

Thanks, I'll give him the news. Ford has so many different motors, it's good to know this is one of the better ones , except for the spark plug problem.
