I'm redoing my 1964 Galaxie 500's wiring and am wondering what type of bulb to get for the dash lights, and instrument panel. I pulled one to see and it was a TS53. I got 53s from Advance but they did not work. What is the number of the bulbs I should be using? Dearborn has #631 dual filliment for $5 a piece, can I get a confirmation these are the correct bulbs?

Search MACs auto parts under full size Ford. Go to the "lighting" section and scan the bulbs. They usually have a number that is used by all the auto parts stores. Were your bulbs working in the first place? Sometimes if one bulb is out they all go out. On my 62, the headlight switch runs my lights. Your bulb should be #1895 at most of the parts stores. Here is a link to MAC's Antique Auto parts. Dearborne is not always your only hope. here is the link to your year and bulbs> Lighting & Horns - MAC's Antique Auto Parts

Yeah, most of my bulbs were working, but I'm doing a clean up job on the wiring and want them all replaced, and I'd like a uniform brightness for all of them. Thank you, I wasn't aware of Mac's. Ran into a fuse situation today also can't seem to find 14A Long or 4A Short fuses. - Andrew
