Clutch return spring

Where can I get the clutch return spring attached to the transmission? I think I was being a pinecone and tried to attach an under dash spring under the car. Lower spring in the photo for 1964 289 Galaxie.

Yes, the terminology is confusing. You're showing a 'clutch pedal over center spring' that goes up under the dash, often called a return spring. It assists in overcoming the force of the older Long-style pressure plate. Here's a similar one for early Falcons, still being called a return spring:

The one you're looking for is the clutch return spring, which connects between the frame and the clutch fork. Here's one for the Falcons; I suspect other early fords are similar, if not the same:

The one in my Ranchero was wearing thin where it attaches to the fork, but I found a generic one at NAPA and bent a hook in it where needed.
