How do I remove the handles that wind windows up and down on 64 Gal? Is there a special tool for removing a clip behind the handle or something? thanks
Hey Mr. B,
You COULD use a special tool, but you don't need one!
All you need is about fourteen inches of Dental Floss!
Push the Door Panel back far enough to see the little Wire Clip that holds the Window Wind Up Handle on the Shaft. Double the Dental Floss and put in into the crack between the Handle and the Panel. Make sure the Dental Floss loop catches the Wire Clip. Then pull the Dental Floss so that it slides into the closed end of the Clip. Then it is just a matter of pulling on the Dental Floss till the Clip comes out of the grooves that hold it in place.
To replace the Clip, put it in place on the Wind Up Handle and then just push it onto the Shaft. It will click into place.
