Looking for a boss intake

I've been considering putting cleveland heads onto the 302 in my Gran Torino, however I haven't seen any aftermarket intake manifolds for this type of conversion. My biggest concern is that any other intake won't match up to the ports and thus make the conversion totaly useless. So if anyone has any tips, web links, or parts please let me know so that I don't waste my money on stuff I cant use.

Edit: I forgot to mention that I plan to use Aussi Cleveland heads on this motor.

used to be a place up the road from where i live that made em, called B&A ford performance, they were in ft smith arkansas, they havent been in buisness for at least 15 years though, you see their manifolds pop up on ebay every so often, they used to make em to put a 2v cleveland head on a 302 or windsor block, also keep in miind you have to plug the water holes in the deck surface of the heads and drill two water crossover passages on the intake side of each head, not too hard, i was under hte understanding that another company bought the patent to the manifolds they used to make the company was called bush performance engines they are also located in ft smith, but i dont know if htey are makin em any longer,

I have a new B&A intake called a track boss. They also made a street boss. This is a single plane high riser intake and it was made exactally for what you're wanting to do. I bought it about 4 years ago to do the same but plans changed and I put my money into the FE hole. Anyway, I'll sell it for what I have in it and include shipping. I paid $400.00.

thanks,

Edelbrock just came out with #7129 that is set up to work on a Clevor. CHI also has Clevor intakes too. The BOSS manifolds are too valuable for this anymore and good luck finding a B&A or Busch Racing intake for less than $500 if you can find one at all. Mr Busch still casts the intakes every now and again and sells them personally, if you can track him down.

And to be clear, Busch = B&A, it's always been the same guy.

The BOSS 302 (uses Ninety-Degree Engine Design) is a different setup than the later 351C. They should fit regular 351 Cleveland heads with no coolant passage modification(s).

It can be confusing so let me see if I can explain. The BOSS 302 (1969-1970) is actually a WINDSOR (NINETY-DEGREE ENGINE FAMLY). FORD used the yet to be released CLV head design (1970) on the engine by modifying the coolant passages to work with the W instead of the different design CLV. The actual CLV intake manifold is dry, i.e. no coolant flow. The BOSS 302 uses the same coolant flow design as previous 221-260-289-302.

The intake EDELBROCK has released is to be used with true CLV heads (FORD or theirs) mounted on a 302/351W block (CLEVOR).

The easiest way to do a CLV style conversion would be to find an origional set of BOSS 302 heads and intakes. Straight bolt-on. The actual CLV heads require a number of modifications, including a specially designed intake manifold.

2V CLV heads and an EDLEBROCK intake will get you where you want to go.

Hope that helps-
