I found this list of the weights of different years of mustangs,
http://www.fordmustangz.com/weight.html
Does this look right to you guys?
I would be quite happy if my car(70 Grande) really did start out at 3008lbs before I took several hundread pounds of useless stuff out of it.
thanks all

My 65 fastback tiped the scales at 2820lbs. With no back seat, no pasanger seat, and no carpet, but with additional welded in sub-frame rails (~40lbs?), Lakewood scattersheild and 9" from a 57 Ford. I don't know how much the 9" weighs compared to a 8", I don't know if the stock bellhousing is aluminum or steel, either would weigh less than the scatersheild. I also can't remember how much gas was in the tank. My guess is that its fairly accurate for a car with an empty gas tank

Those look like factory published weights. Bogus, IMHO. My Falcon has a "shipping weight" around 2700. With a glass hood, no air and no carpet it was 3126. Take it to a truck stop and get the real deal for less than $10.

My 92 Mustang GT weighed in at 3470 on an accurate scale. I had a little bit of extra weight on it (subframe connectors, blower) but had also lost some weight (aluminum heads and intake, etc.). Seems like the weights for the late models are a little bit light, anyway.

Looks like a pretty cool site!

I'm not sure what they mean by "mass weight", but my '66 Mustang with 289,TL 4speed, and 9" rear weighed in at 3010 lbs with me in it(200 lbs). It was weighed in at the scales at Atlanta NHRA Dragway. Maybe those weights are without any fluids or fuel.

Way off! My 73 with me in it, no gas (<1/4 tank) with me in it was 3680. I am 215. This is with headers, and aluminum intake. AC out of it, and stock interior. 14" alum. wheels. Scale was at a moving van/truck place. Buddies 68 camaro was 3460 with him in it, and he is a BIG BOY...315. He has a 350 headers, no ac, alum. intake as well. Ohh yea, I have a cleveland in it too.

71-3 FASTBACK V8 2993-3098 LBS 71-3

1971 ONLY BOSS 351 V8 3261 LBS

I would think the BOSS would be even lighter...different front bumper, no ac, alum. intake...just my thoughts
