no problem with the swap . like you said other than the balancing . Why a 50oz. IMO , better with the 28oz cranks , way better if performance use

well the engine has 50oz balancer and flywheel, that is what got the crank due to previous owner not knowing, just didnt want to buy new stuff other than crank,, are you talking about big loss in power due to 50oz??

A 302 28oz crank will have a 2M stamped into the crank not sure what the 5.0 crank had... I'm looking for it now... just make sure you have all the matching parts it's all 28oz or 50oz... crank, flywheel/flexplate and balancer

I almost positive I but a 28oz crank in a later 5.0 block without any trouble.. I might be wrong...

Look for a date code on all the rotating parts and post them.. E0OE or something like that

the crank in the 79 block is a original 2ma which is a 28oz, the builder put the 50oz balancer and flywheel on and in return ruined the crank,so instead of buying new flywheel and balancer i wanted to put in a newer model crank which is 80's up which is one piece seal and 50oz balance, just wondering due to 2 piece block if the one piece newer crank will work without any modifications, thanks..
