Hi, I'm visiting for the FullSizeBronco forum, because none of them have a 351C in their Broncos and I do
So I'm trying out a DIY phenolic spacer I made out of oak, and initial tests result in an unstable idle at start and ~300rpm increase of idle at operating temp. Before I start adjusting the carb, I need to figure out if I made the spacer properly.
Specifically, I replaced the aluminum non-egr spacer with a solid chunk of oak, and I realized the aluminum spacer had some vacuum(?) channels in it that may have served an important function.
There's this hole in my intake that seems to correspond with the channels in the aluminum spacer ...but I don't know what it does.
Does anyone know what this is, or what its for?
